In 1979, Ahmed & Company is established as a one of the first authorized recruiting agent and human resource development institution officially recognized by the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
Ahmed & Company becomes the first Bangladeshi establishment to provide skilled and semi-skilled manpower from Bangladesh to the Singapore Marine and Shipyard giants including Keppel Offshore Marine and Sembcorp Marine Ltd. . Additionally, Ahmed & Company provides skilled and unskilled construction tradesmen to Engineering and Construction companies in Singapore.
The company expands organically in the Singaporean market and becomes the leading one-stop skilled manpower provider in the region. The international limelight asserts the company as the pioneer in the manpower supply discipline.
We continue to supply Engineers and skilled tradesmen comprising of Engineers, Supervisors, Welders, Electricians, Marine Mechanics, Machinists, Crane Operators, Pipe workers, Steelworkers, Scaffolders, Masons, Carpenters, HVAC Technicians, Tilers, Plumbers, Cleaners, Blasters/Painters, Safety Promoters, QA/QC inspectors, NDT Technicians and additional trades to our partners in Singapore.
United Arab Emirates
Ahmed & Company enters the U.A.E. market by providing permanent skilled manpower to Drydocks World Dubai in 1988. Moreover, Ahmed & Company becomes a temporary foreign sub-contractor within Drydocks World. Since 1992, we have been the recruiting agent for Arab Heavy Industries (AHI) in Ajman, U.A.E.
In 2003, Ahmed & Company provides skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled Bangladeshi workers with complete Engineering Procurement and Construction knowledge in the Offshore and Onshore Oil and Gas industry to National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC), based in Abu Dhabi.
Our company became the recruiting agent to J.Ray McDermott Middle East Inc. in 2006.
J.Ray McDermott recruits Bangladeshi workers comprising of Electricians, Pipe Fitters, Structural Fitters, Structural Welders, Sand Blaster/Painters and Scaffolders in their Fabrication Yard Facility.
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Since 1991, Mawarid Services Limited recruited thousands of skilled and semi-skilled workers of various trades ranging from cleaning, maintenance and construction projects in Riyadh, Makkah, Medina and Jeddah through Ahmed & Company.
We provide quality tradesmen in Engineering, Technology, Fabrication, Marine, Offshore and Onshore to McDermott Arabia Company based in Al Khobar.
Bahrain
Ahmed & Company supplies skilled workforce to the Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard (ASRY) across Ship Repair & Conversion, Rig Repair & Conversion, Fabrication and Engineering as the registered manpower supply agent from Bangladesh in Bahrain.
Oman
Ahmed & Company supplies skilled and semi-skilled tradesmen to Oman Drydock Company in 2008. Since 2014, our company has helped Al-Nab’a Holding L.L.C. to recruit thousands of blue collar workforce and met all technical and non-technical requirements.
Qatar
Ahmed & Company is a key recruiting agent in Qatar and has established its importance in the region by supplying skilled tradesmen to Nakilat- Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd and Nakilat Damen Shipyards in Qatar across Marine, Offshore and Industrial Engineering disciplines.
Japan
The Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment representing the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh approved Ahmed & Company as an official Sending Organization for Technical Interns to Japan.
The Technical Intern Training Program ( TITP ) also known as Skills and Technology Transfer Project is a private arrangement between Bangladesh and JITCO (Japan) that allows the acceptance of skilled workers from developing countries like Bangladesh to participate in a Training Program facilitated by Japanese companies.
Ahmed & Company complies with the conditions and Guidelines for selection of Sending Organization and Technical Intern to Japan under Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC). We envision to sustainably lead the Japan market and prioritize safety in all our ventures.

Mr. Ashraf Ahmed , the founding chairman of Ahmed & Company, is a war hero who bravely served for the British Indian Army during the World War II. He believed the greatest of all assets for a country is Human Resource and the key to success relies on self-discipline and dedication.
He had gathered vast experience in managing human resource by training and preparing candidates for a suitable job along with the arrangement of proper placement. For his extraordinary performance in the industry , Mr. Ahmed has been recognized as one of the best entrepreneurs for developing high quality human resources in merit of skills and communication.
During his lifetime, The Government of People’s Republic of Bangladesh had declared Mr. Ashraf Ahmed Commercially Important Person (CIP) award recipient for numerous years for his continued contribution in the manpower recruitment arena. He had also been recognized as a life time successful human resource recruitment agent in Bangladesh by Refugee and Migratory Movements Research Unit (RMMRU) in 2009.
Mr. Ashfaque Ahmed earned his Bachelor of Science from York College (City University of New York) and is a MBA graduate from the Saint John’s University, New York, U.S.A. He foresees operations as the current Managing Director of Ahmed & Company.
Mr. Ashfaque possesses a keen interest towards the global issues related to human resources, skill development, proper placement, safety and environmental sustainability . Under his tenure, Ahmed & Company has established Center for Vocational Training (CVT), a world class vocational training facility, in collaboration with Singapore. He operates as the lead of CVT and overlooks all international trainers, personnel, skill development courses and training.
Mr. Ashfaque Ahmed continues to build on his father’s legacy and lead the company into the new century with sustainable and organic growth. Additionally, Mr. Ashfaque serves as the Chief Liaison Officer for all local and international organizations associated with Ahmed & Company
Mr. Iftekhar Ahmed has earned his MBA from the Saint John’s University, New York and BBA from The City University of New York, USA. Mr. Iftekhar Ahmed serves as the Executive Officer of Ahmed & Company leading its Human Resource and Administration department. He is assigned with a broad spectrum of responsibility related to the harmonious management of the company and all its ventures.
He undertakes a range of duties, beginning from candidate sourcing to appropriate skill development of the selected individuals through quality technical and communication training. Mr. Iftekhar manages client details and accomplishes their needs in his duty to prepare the candidates for the specific job or placement. Additionally, Mr. Iftekhar constantly explores growth in the industry, adhere to clients and monitor the company’s global progression as a quality and trustworthy recruiting agency.
